The first time I saw Sisterlocks in 1994, I was AMAZED. I wasn't quite sure what I was looking at.
Once I was told they were permanent, I backed off. I was not ready to give up my wonderful weaves permanently. I had a serious case of OPH (other peoples hair).
I decided to take the class so that I could service a few clients that were considering locks.
In February 2006, I was off to Oakland to learn everything I needed to know to become a Sisterlock Consultant. That's when it bit me, the Sisterlock bug. In that instant, I had to have them, not only did I have to have them but I wanted every sister that I knew to have them. I locked 3 clients within 3 weeks, my 4th and 5th clients came 2 weeks later. I finally received my locks on 4/27/06, which led to 3 more clients. By my 3rd month lock anniversary, I was locking and loading.
Having my locks, and for the first time in my life and wearing my hair short and natural. Any questions, comments, or chit-chat that you might have, drop me an email and I'll answer them time permitting.
Since 2011 I've been globe trotting. Let's see there was Aruba, Africa(Senegal), Paris, Rome, Italy, London, St. Lucia, and most recently Barbados! I will work on posting pics!
That's Cali doing her thing. She did many new styles and cuts that day, sending Sisterlocked Sisters home Bold and Beautiful! I love short hair for the summer. Compare the pictue below with the new cut above. More volume and height.
The Sisterlocked Sisters were full of enery and love as always, it's a wonderful experience everytime. If you miss this event you are miss a treat! I was so excited that I decided to get a hair cut.
It was so much fun! There was meeting and greeting, belly dancing, which I tried my hand at, and a fashion show that me and another Sisterlock Sister Malika pulled off!
